Delabs Games, an innovative gaming studio, has secured $4.7 million in seed funding, led by Hashed, to continue its journey into Web3 gaming. As part of this progression, the company announced the upcoming "Rumble Racing Star" (RRS) Summer Camp. Interested players can register for the RRS closed beta.
Delabs Games is currently developing three games: "Rumble Racing Star," a fun racing game; "Space Frontier," a gripping survival RPG; and "Metabolts," an anime-themed collectible RPG.
Delabs' design philosophy aims to captivate wide audiences, ensure cross-platform compatibility, and nurture a vibrant esports ecosystem. All web3 elements are subtly integrated so that players won't need to download any wallet.
The team at Delabs Games comprises veterans who have worked on successful games such as Nexon’s hit game, "Kart Rider," which was played by nearly a third of South Korea’s population. They hope to bring the same magic to their upcoming games.
Delabs emphasizes inclusivity in its vision, aiming to create games that can be enjoyed across generations. RRS showcases expressive characters, humor-infused weapons, and a lighter visual style than conventional games like Mariokart.
In "Rumble Racing Star," players can race with their NFTs, each possessing special abilities. The developers are handing over creative reins to players in "Space Frontier" and "Metabolts," empowering them to create unique items, game modes, and levels.
Polygon Ventures, which is investing in Delabs Games, is confident in the company's vision for the future of gaming - one that combines traditional gameplay with the dynamic potential of web3. It invites players to join the beta and experience the gaming revolution first-hand.
