DeFi Kingdoms is a web3 play-to-earn game that combines RPG elements with decentralized finance (DeFi), allowing players to earn money while playing. Players build a team of heroes, each with unique stats, appearance, and class. These heroes can be sent on quests to gather resources, earn tokens, and gain experience. Players can also engage in battles with other players in DFK DUEL or mythical creatures in Combat Testing Grounds. The game features a decentralized exchange (DEX) for trading assets. It is cross-chain compatible with platforms like Klaytn and Avalanche, offers play-to-earn mechanics, and allows players to collect NFTs. The game takes place in two fantasy realms, Serendale and Crystalvale, each with different resources, zones, and objectives.
The PvP tournaments will follow a structured format with multiple levels of competition. Players will have the chance to participate in different types of tournaments, each with unique entry requirements and rewards. The competition will begin with Daily Skirmishes, 16-player tournaments held twice a day from Monday to Friday. Entry into these tournaments requires a $5 fee, and top performers will earn Qualifier Tokens. These tokens are essential for advancing to higher-tier tournaments, such as the Weekend Warrior Tournaments or the Revengers competition, depending on the player's ranking.

The Weekend Warrior Tournaments will take place every Saturday and Sunday and will require both a $10 entry fee and a Qualifier Token earned from Daily Skirmishes. Players who finish at the top will receive $100, treasure chests, and a tradable Qualifier Token for the Champion Invitational Tournaments. Those who do not place in the top two will still receive a non-tradable Qualifier Token for the Revenger’s Champion competition, providing an alternative pathway to progress through the tournament structure.
The Revenger’s Champion tournament will occur every six weeks, featuring 32 participants who have acquired the necessary Qualifier Token. With a $20 entry fee, this tournament offers winners $300, various treasure chests, and a tradable Qualifier Token for the All-Star Tournament. Meanwhile, those who succeed in Weekend Warrior events will move on to the Champion Invitational Tournament, held weekly. This competition will require a $20 entry fee and will consist of 16 players who possess the appropriate Qualifier Token. The top two players will receive a Qualifier Token for the All-Star Tournament, while the winner will also secure a $1,000 prize and additional rewards.

The final stage of the tournament series will be the All-Star Tournament, a high-stakes event featuring the best 16 players from previous competitions. Participants will need to pay a $200 entry fee and possess a Qualifier Token from either the Champion Invitational or the Revenger’s Champion tournament. The winner of this final event will receive the grand prize of $10,000, along with exclusive NFTs and other in-game rewards.
Additionally, there will be special limited-time tournaments, such as the Gold Rush Open, which will take place once every four weeks. This event will provide another route for players to qualify for the Champion Invitational or Revenger’s tournaments. Entry into this competition will require a $20 fee, payable in DFKGOLD tokens.
While the primary focus of these tournaments is competitive play, spectators will also have opportunities to engage with the event. Most matches will be sponsored, allowing players and community members to participate by predicting the outcomes of battles. Those who make correct predictions will receive rewards, creating an interactive experience for those who prefer to engage with the tournament from a strategic standpoint rather than as active competitors.
