The Dæmons open beta runs from June 10 to 18, offering players a chance to earn Soul Points toward a $DMN token airdrop. Explore turn-based web3 gameplay and test new omnichain features.
The turn-based web3 game Dæmons has launched its open beta, which runs from June 10 to June 18. During this limited testing window, players have the opportunity to earn airdrop points toward the future distribution of the upcoming $DMN token. The open beta session lasts for a total of 84 hours and is accessible through supported blockchain testnets. Players can participate by minting a pet and engaging in various in-game and social activities that award points.

Dæmons draws inspiration from virtual pet games and battle-based titles, combining elements of familiar mechanics with blockchain-enabled features. This phase of public testing is designed to give users access to new features while contributing to the development of the game. The project uses a play-to-airdrop approach, rewarding engagement with Soul Points that count toward future airdrop allocations.

The current open beta includes several new features introduced to improve the overall experience and expand game functionality. These updates include real-time matchmaking, a feeding and quest system, character evolutions from Rank 1 to Rank 2, and improved post-battle interface updates. Two new characters, previously unrevealed, have also been added to the game for this testing phase.
A notable addition is the Account Achievements system, which is one of the main methods for earning Soul Points. These achievements track player activity and provide structured goals that contribute to the airdrop rewards. The game continues to support multiple testnets, including those on Polygon, Solana, Base, Soneium, Ancient8, Monad, and Sonic, further highlighting its omnichain approach.
The reward pool for this beta period includes 6,000 Soul Points available through onboarding and over 20,000 Soul Points tied to beta-specific achievements. In addition, 0.4 percent of the total $DMN token supply has been allocated for rewards across individual, clan, and content categories. There is also a $500 USD equivalent reward pool distributed across community content, bug reports, and spot challenges.

To join the open beta, players need to access one of the official referral links provided in the Dæmons team’s X announcement thread. Each supported chain has its own link, including options for Base and Soneium. Players can also choose to join the developers’ own Chain Clan link if preferred. After selecting a chain, users are directed to the browser-based game platform.
Players begin by connecting their crypto wallet to the platform. Before starting, they are prompted to join the Airdrop Points Program and link the same wallet on the questing dashboard. This step is necessary to access social quests and track airdrop points. Players then mint a pet, which is generated based on their wallet’s on-chain history. An accessory, such as a Unicorn Horn or Compass, can also be selected. Since minting occurs on testnets, players need to use a faucet to acquire the necessary testnet tokens if they do not already have them.
Once the minting process is completed, players receive 6,000 Soul Points. From there, they can begin earning additional points through gameplay and social interaction. The game features turn-based combat where players use 2D pets called Dæmons in one-versus-one player-versus-player battles and AI-generated player-versus-environment scenarios. The AI components are designed to adapt to each player’s blockchain activity and content interests. Additionally, players can interact with their pets through a chat system powered by artificial intelligence, enhancing the experience as they train and develop their characters.

Dæmons is developed as an omnichain title, meaning it is built to operate across multiple blockchain networks. The game is powered by LayerZero’s ONFT (Omnichain Non-Fungible Token) technology, which enables interoperability between LayerZero-compatible chains. The development team has also included support for non-compatible chains to prepare for future integrations and expand accessibility.
The goal of the project is to create a flexible environment where players can engage with the game on the chain of their choice. This aligns with a broader trend in web3 gaming that prioritizes cross-chain functionality and player ownership. The browser-based nature of Dæmons further simplifies access, allowing users to participate without the need for downloads or platform restrictions.

According to the project's public roadmap, the Token Generation Event (TGE) for the $DMN token is expected to take place in September 2025. The full public release of the Dæmons game is planned for July of this year. At the time of writing, detailed information about the $DMN token, such as its utility and distribution model, has not yet been made available. Further documentation is expected to be released following the token’s launch.
The Dæmons open beta serves as both a development milestone and a reward opportunity for early participants. By testing the game and engaging with its systems, players have the chance to secure a portion of the token airdrop and contribute to the game's continued improvement.
