Cross the Ages fans have been enjoying the major release of Mantris Season 2, which went live on October 4th. However, even with the new season underway, there is always some who like to know what comes after. We took the opportunity to sit down for an exclusive interview with the team over at Cross the Ages, and got a confirmation of where they plan to take their playerbase next for Season 3.
Cross the Ages has expanded its horizons beyond the gaming world. Launching its inaugural book in 2021 followed by another in 2022, the company has delved into the captivating world of storytelling. These books, which are available in several languages and free of charge, have already achieved over a million downloads. The team referenced how the game's lore is built upon 7 novels, only 2 of which have been made public. These included events across 3 regions, only 1 of which hasn't received the seasonal treatment.
Cross the Ages is poised for an exhilarating future. With plans to incorporate competitive features, host esports tournaments, and offer cash rewards, the company aims to evolve the game into a bustling esports hub. Some of that future isn't fully written or fleshed out yet, and the team plans to get the community involved in shaping the final vision of the franchise beyond Season 3.
The trading card game genre is evidently one of the most difficult to break into within the gaming world, let alone within web3. The number of games as well as other factors like balancing and unique mechanics to make your title stand out can take its toll on any studio. However, CTA continues to stand out within the genre and deliver several respectable achievements within the space.
