What is CTA?

Cross The Ages is a vibrant universe built upon a saga of seven fantasy and science fiction books. This rich lore has inspired the creation of stunning artworks from renowned worldwide artists.

These artworks are seamlessly integrated into their TCG (Trading Card Game), which has drawn in over 148,000 community members and garnered 400,000 downloads. As a significant player in the global video game industry, Cross The Ages is dedicated to pushing boundaries and crafting unforgettable adventures.

Over 35 Million Cards Sold

Cross The Ages (CTA) has also achieved remarkable sales figures, with over 35 million digital cards sold and more than 3.5 million NFTs (digital assets) minted (sold). The team also released an exclusive sneak peek at Arise, their latest game set in the Cross The Ages (CTA) universe.

Sami Chlagou, CEO and Co-founder of Cross The Ages (CTA) expressed enthusiasm about having Animoca Brands as the lead investor, emphasizing their shared commitment to expanding CTA's gaming universe. “This collaboration signifies a shared commitment and a vote of confidence for CTA’s gaming universe to expand the IP amongst Animoca brands ecosystems and partners,” Chlagou said.

Virtual Land with Real-World Impact

In CTA, every purchase of virtual land leads to tangible industrial actions in the real world. These digital parcels in Arise are crucial for improving players' skills and resources and reflect significant events in CTA’s history. Each parcel of land represents a share in CTA Factory’s real estate and industrial activities, generating dividends for owners under specific gameplay conditions.

Players must defend their territories from other players, creating a dynamic environment of production and protection. Landowners manage and safeguard their yields, while others attempt to claim them, fostering a strategic gameplay experience.

Real-World Contributions

CTA’s real-world operations focus on acquiring land to provide decarbonized energy from surplus production capacity. The CTA Factory serves clients including data centers, AI sector players, and Bitcoin miners, who seek low-cost green energy. This initiative aligns with CTA’s commitment to sustainable development, utilizing green energy sources such as hydroelectric, geothermal, and solar power.

The financial value from these industrial activities includes the land value and capital expenditures necessary to operationalize these sites. This "industrial promotion" forms the core of CTA’s strategy, supporting the virtual economy of Artellium and offering real-world benefits.

Game Mechanics and Rewards

In Arise, Cross The Ages ties virtual lands to major historical locations, initially represented by dungeons. Land yields, distributed in CTA by CTA Factory, are influenced by both real-world industrial production and in-game activities. Players can unlock different yield tiers through proof of ownership, activity, and defense:

  • First Tier (50% yield): Unlocked through proof of ownership.
  • Second Tier (up to 75% yield): Requires accumulating Victory Points (VP) via in-game victories.
  • Third Tier (up to 100% yield): Requires strong defense against other players’ attacks.

This tiered system promotes engagement and strategy, encouraging guilds to form and compete over resources. You can read the full CTA Litepaper here for more information.

Utilizing Mint Passes and TCG Cards

Mint passes and trading card game (TCG) cards are integral to CTA’s economy. Mint passes help in collecting VP, enhancing land attributes based on their quality. TCG cards, beyond their collectible value, are crucial for activating land yields and completing quests.

They come in various rarities, from common to mythic, and play essential roles in defense strategies and other game mechanics. Special Rare (SR) cards, distributed via mint pass airdrops, enhance dungeon defenses. This interoperability between CTA games ensures a consistent demand for all card types, driving the game’s economy.

A Sustainable and Engaging Ecosystem

Cross The Ages brings together landowners, players, and cardholders in an ecosystem where each participant plays an important role. By merging virtual gameplay with real-world industrial initiatives, CTA creates an engaging gaming experience while contributing to sustainable development and green energy solutions. This approach positions CTA as a leader in integrating virtual and real-world economies.
