South Korean gaming giant Com2uS continues to innovate by integrating blockchain technology into its popular mobile RPG, Heir of Light: Eclipse. Leveraging its proprietary XPLA blockchain, Com2uS has introduced a new in-game utility token, JAM, to enhance the gaming experience and expand the XPLA ecosystem.
Mobile RPG Heir of Light: Eclipse
Heir of Light: Eclipse offers a rich, fantasy-themed RPG experience where players engage in 5v5 battles, climbing ranks by defeating progressively challenging enemies. The game features various modes including PvE, PvP, and boss battles, with rewards based on player rankings. The game is available worldwide via App Store and Google Play, and supports 8 languages in-game.
The whitepaper for Heir of Light: Eclipse outlines the integration strategy with the XPLA Chain. It emphasizes the goal of providing an enriched gaming experience through the seamless integration of blockchain technology. Key aspects include story progression, various game modes, servant collection, and detailed tokenomics to ensure a balanced and engaging gaming environment.
Com2uS Brings Blockchain to Mobile RPG Heir of Light: Eclipse
The Heir of Light: Eclipse story unfolds the narrative of the conflict between light and darkness in a world devastated by war. The world is split in half as two Heirs have made contradictory wishes: one desires the past, and the other yearns for the future. An initial expedition is formed to prevent the mutual destruction of both worlds, and the main storyline begins with players being chosen as members of the first expedition.
Heir of Light: Eclipse now operates on Com2uS’s XPLA blockchain, incorporating the JAM token as a key in-game utility currency. Players can earn Fagin Coins in the game, which can be exchanged for JAM tokens via the XPLA Wallet. This integration aims to provide players with more utility and engagement within the game, while also contributing to the broader XPLA blockchain network.
JAM Tokens
The new JAM token can be converted for Fagin Coins, which are obtained through gameplay. This conversion process allows players to utilize their in-game earnings within the XPLA ecosystem, promoting a seamless experience across Com2uS’s gaming titles. The full integration of these features is expected to be completed by late June or early July.
Heir of Light: Eclipse also introduces Membership Points, earned through in-game purchases and NFT benefits. These points can be used to craft Exchange Tickets, unlocking various in-game exchanges for items such as higher-level tickets and Fagin Coins. This system provides players with additional ways to enhance their gameplay and rewards, fostering a more engaging and rewarding environment.
Exchange Tickets
Exchange Tickets (Dodger, Nancy, Charlie) can be crafted with the accumulated Membership Points. Different tickets unlock different exchange centers. Exchange Centers (Dodger, Nancy, Charlie) hold various items ranging from higher-level tickets to Fagin Coins.

To maintain a balanced and sustainable token economy, Com2uS has implemented a buy-back system. Revenue generated from in-game purchases will be used to buy back JAM tokens, which will then be stored in a reserve pool. This pool supports the converted pool, ensuring a fixed conversion ratio between Fagin Coins and JAM tokens, stabilizing the token economy within the game.

In other related news, XPLA has launched its L2 chain, XPLA Verse, on the Japanese gaming blockchain Oasys. XPLA Verse is designed to enhance the blockchain gaming experience with its speedy, zero-gas-fee transactions. The involvement of Com2uS Group, renowned for its mobile game development and significant web2 game releases, is expected to play a pivotal role in onboarding new players to the XPLA Verse.
The launch includes “Summoners Wars: Chronicle,” an action RPG inspired by “Summoners War: Sky Arena” which boasts over 220 million downloads, and “The Walking Dead: All-Stars,” which has 250,000 monthly active users.
XPLA Verse x Oasys x Com2uS
Com2uS Group, a prominent name in South Korea’s gaming industry, has been a pioneer in mobile gaming and has recently expanded its focus to web3 markets, particularly in Japan. Since 2022, the company has accelerated its web3 initiatives and participated as an initial validator in the Oasys ecosystem.
Leveraging Oasys’ extensive knowledge of Japan’s regulatory framework, Com2uS and XPLA are set to enhance their presence in the East Asian market and attract more users.
