Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 1

Season 1 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone officially goes live on December 4, bringing a wide slate of new content across multiplayer, Zombies, and battle royale. Activision is framing this season as one of the most extensive early updates the franchise has delivered, introducing maps, modes, weapons, and seasonal events designed to carry both games into the next phase of post-launch support.

Expanded Seasonal Framework

The new season continues the narrative centered on General Dorne, whose arc advances in the post–co-op campaign epilogue. Activision states that Season 1 sets the foundation for an expanded content pipeline, aiming to keep players active across multiple modes with refreshed progression and a broader lineup of in-game activities. The season launch includes new gameplay environments, returning classics, updated playlists, and a large collection of unlockable cosmetics and equipment available through events and the Battle Pass.

Multiplayer Additions and Returning Favorites

Black Ops 7’s multiplayer offering is growing with several new maps, each targeting different styles of combat. Fate revisits Raul Menendez’s Nicaraguan compound through a distorted interpretation shaped by the Cradle storyline. Utopia takes players to a once-elite futuristic district now abandoned, offering lanes suited for faster engagements. Odysseus shifts the focus to a floating carrier built for dense close-quarters exchanges. Meanwhile, Standoff makes its return after being remastered for Black Ops 7, maintaining the familiar structure of the Black Ops 2 original.

Alongside new locations, classic modes return at launch. Prop Hunt reappears with updated features designed around the latest map pool. Sharpshooter reintroduces its free-for-all format where the entire lobby rotates through the same set of randomly assigned weapons. One in the Chamber also returns, once again emphasizing accuracy with its single-round loadout.

Zombies Developments and Survival Expansion

Zombies players receive a significant update with Astra Malorum, a new map that pushes the Dark Aether storyline further. The setting takes place within an observatory positioned on a skull-shaped asteroid, placing players in the remnants of a lost death cult while exploring the site’s abandoned structures. For those preferring a traditional approach, the season adds Exit 115, a standalone survival map that focuses on sustained combat over exploration.

Warzone Improvements and New Resurgence Zone

Warzone introduces Haven’s Hollow as its latest Resurgence location. Set within an isolated Appalachian town, the map blends rural spaces with hidden research sites and tourist-oriented structures, including a floating casino. The environment is built to support fast-paced Resurgence pacing while giving squads a variety of combat and traversal options.

Verdansk receives targeted updates as well. Signal Station, located south of the Military Base, offers squads access to a Tactical Heat Map once satellite systems are activated, providing a snapshot of player concentrations across the map. Factory also returns with structural adjustments tailored for Black Ops 7, updating the classic point of interest with revised paths and cover.

Seasonal Events and Holiday Update

Mid-season, players will see the return of CODMAS, which introduces holiday-themed limited-time modes, an event spanning across all playlists, and the Sleighjacked map, a seasonal remix of the well-known Hijacked layout. Activision notes that additional in-season surprises will roll out closer to the event’s start.

Battle Pass and New Weapons

Season 1’s Battle Pass grants access to more than 110 rewards, including cosmetic items, weapon blueprints, attachments, operator skins, and a 10% Battle Pass XP Boost. The new Dorne Operator unlocks instantly with purchase, and BlackCell buyers gain access to additional premium content. The season also adds two new weapons through the Battle Pass: the Maddox RFB assault rifle and the Kogot-7 SMG. Additional weapons are planned through weekly challenges and seasonal events.

Black Ops 7 is available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, with Season 1 available across all supported platforms beginning December 4.
