Calamity has officially announced its NFTs will be migrating to Treasure DAO. This transition will introduce several upgrades to the collection, enhancing the overall experience for its community. One of the most significant changes in the migration is the transformation of existing Artifacts into Dragon Rings. These new NFTs will replace the current Artifacts, with each evolving based on rarity. Blue and Purple Artifacts will transform into one of three unique Dragon Rings, while Red Artifacts will evolve into one of two distinct types. This shift introduces a fresh dynamic to the collection, bringing new designs and functionalities that enhance the value and utility of the NFTs.

Calamity is a free-to-play sandbox MMORPG set in a colorful 2D top-down world. Drawing inspiration from classic games like World of Warcraft, Lineage, Diablo, and Albion Online, Calamity offers an engaging experience where players can explore challenging dungeons, face off against other players, and develop their characters with a variety of classes, skills, and gear. The game focuses on a player-driven economy, moving away from traditional microtransactions and pay-to-win models, and instead, rewards players for their in-game achievements.
With the introduction of Dragon Rings, Calamity holders will gain access to a range of new utilities and benefits. A token airdrop will be issued at the Token Generation Event (TGE), distributing five percent of the total token supply among Dragon Ring holders. Unlike previous distributions that favored rare NFT holders, this airdrop will now be available to all holders, scaled according to the original rarity of their NFTs.
In addition to the airdrop, staking will be introduced as a new feature, allowing holders to stack their Dragon Rings for rewards. Further details on staking mechanics and reward structures will be provided following the migration. Each Dragon Ring will also grant holders an exclusive in-game dragon companion, designed specifically to match its corresponding ring type. These companions will be issued as separate cosmetic NFTs, adding another collectible element to the ecosystem.

Another key feature includes the introduction of daily buff scrolls, which will provide in-game advantages such as increased experience points and item drop chances. These scrolls will scale based on ring rarity and can be traded within the in-game marketplace. Dragon Ring holders will also receive exclusive perks in future expansions, including early access to new content and guaranteed whitelist spots for upcoming releases.
As part of the migration to Treasure, Dragon Ring holders will be able to unlock exclusive in-game titles by staking their NFTs. These titles will serve as a recognition of ownership and participation within the ecosystem. Additionally, a play-to-advance (P2A) multiplier will be introduced, allowing players to boost their leaderboard points by staking their Dragon Rings. The impact of this multiplier will vary depending on the rarity of the ring, giving higher-tier holders an additional advantage during P2A events.
