BADMAD ROBOTS has announced that the closed beta for its upcoming web3 game will begin this February. Players interested in gaining early access can secure beta keys through the official X account and Discord community. The team is offering early bird rewards to those who join during this phase, providing an opportunity for dedicated gamers to experience the game before its wider release.
In BADMAD ROBOTS, players find themselves in Los Machines, a city abandoned by humans and now dominated by malfunctioning robots. These defective robots, plagued by technical glitches, have formed gangs and clans to fight for resources and dominance. Players must assemble their squad to stand as the last line of defense against the chaos. The crypto game is launching exclusively on the Immutable blockchain.
The game is a hero-based shooter, a popular sub-genre that requires balancing various roles while designing unique abilities, animations, and weapon sets. So far, six heroes have been fully developed, each featuring distinct 3D models, animations, visual effects, sound design, and in-game mechanics. No abilities or playstyles are reused, ensuring that every character offers a unique experience for players.
Players in BADMAD ROBOTS can dive into two game modes: Control Point and Team Deathmatch. In Control Point, teams strategically battle to dominate specific points on the map, while Team Deathmatch focuses on eliminating opponents to achieve the highest kill count. With a diverse cast of characters, players can choose to be tanks, damage dealers, or support specialists, each equipped with unique abilities and weapons ranging from hand cannons to jetpacks and rocket launchers.
Over the past year, BADMAD ROBOTS has expanded its team with 40 experienced developers who have worked on well-known titles such as Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty, Lords of the Fallen, The Cycle: Frontier, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, Once Human, and Dune: Awakening. This team has been instrumental in refining the game's visuals and overall optimization to enhance the gameplay experience.
Despite market challenges and tight deadlines, the development has continued without delays, demonstrating the team’s commitment to delivering a high-quality product. The team is focused on demonstrating the potential of web3 gaming and expanding its reach to a broader audience. By leveraging the expertise of its team and development partners, the studio aims to establish itself as a key player in the space. The upcoming closed beta will allow players to experience the game firsthand, with limited keys available through official channels.
