The Origins Season 12 Preseason is live, bringing with it a series of updates designed to enhance gameplay and provide Lunacians with exciting new opportunities to prepare for the upcoming season. With the introduction of the Dream World Arcade Mode, Era-Based Testing, and several new features, the Preseason sets the stage for a dynamic and competitive Season 12.
Axie Infinity Origins is a card-based strategy game where players collect, own, and use an infinite variety of creatures called Axies to battle. Players can take down evil Chimeras in the Adventure mode or challenge other players in the Arena to reach the top of the Leaderboard. The web3 game is free to download and play on Android, PC, and MacOS devices.
Three free non-NFT starter axies are available for everyone to utilize, enjoy, and get more acquainted with the game, with more available to be unlocked by playing the game. Starter axies are available to allow new players the opportunity to play Axie Infinity without first having to purchase axies. This allows users to test the product with absolutely no strings attached.
One of the most significant changes this Preseason is the transformation of the Haunted House into the Dream World Arcade Mode. This update, brought about by Mít, includes renaming Haunted House tickets to Dream World tickets. While the underlying mechanics, playable teams, and shop items remain unchanged, this mode provides a fresh thematic experience for players. Additionally, players will have the chance to experiment with their strategies and submit their own teams when Season 12 officially begins.
Dream World Arcade Mode
The Preseason introduces Era-Based Testing, allowing players to test Runes and Charms free of charge before the start of Season 12. Players can claim special test kits from the in-game shop, with each kit offering progressively advanced items as the Preseason advances. Starting with the Rare Era Test, followed by the Epic and Mystic Era Tests, players can familiarize themselves with new gameplay elements while honing their skills. Each stage provides access to specific levels of Runes and Charms, marked as S11.5, ensuring players are prepared for the challenges ahead.
Another highly anticipated update is the introduction of Morphing Powers for Delegatees. This feature will allow delegatees to independently morph axies without requiring assistance from their delegators, provided they use their own resources. The update is set to roll out on App.axie during the Preseason and promises to give players more autonomy in managing their axies.
Season 12 will also debut the Axie Check-In feature, enabling players to check in with a selected axie and earn rewards based on its tier. This new feature is designed to provide additional incentives and encourage regular engagement. Detailed information about this feature will be revealed closer to the season's launch.
To ensure fair competition, several balance updates have been implemented in preparation for Season 12. Overperforming teams have been tuned down, while certain archetypes, such as Bleed, Leafy, and Topaz teams, have received buffs. These adjustments aim to create a more dynamic meta, providing opportunities for diverse strategies to succeed. Players seeking an in-depth understanding of these changes can refer to the detailed S12 Changelog available on App.axie.
App.axie Updates
The Origins S12 Preseason offers an ideal opportunity for players to explore new features, refine their strategies, and gain a competitive edge before the official season begins. With the Dream World Arcade Mode, Era-Based Testing, and the upcoming Morphing Powers and Axie Check-In feature, the stage is set for an engaging and challenging Season 12.
As the community gears up for the next phase, the focus remains on preparation and participation. Whether by stacking AXP, testing Runes and Charms, or experimenting with new teams, players are encouraged to make the most of the Preseason and get ready for the arena battles that lie ahead.
