What is Axie Origins?

Axie Infinity Origins is a card-based strategy game where players collect, own, and use an infinite variety of creatures called Axies to battle. Players can take down evil Chimeras in the Adventure mode or challenge other players in the Arena to reach the top of the Leaderboard. The web3 game is free to download and play on Android, PC, and MacOS devices.

Three free non-NFT starter axies are available for everyone to utilize, enjoy, and get more acquainted with the game, with more available to be unlocked by playing the game. Starter axies are available to allow new players the opportunity to play Axie Infinity without first having to purchase axies. This allows users to test the product with absolutely no strings attached. 

Roguelike Mode: A New PvE Adventure

One of the most anticipated features of the Season 10 Preseason is the introduction of Roguelike Mode. This limited-time Player vs. Environment (PvE) mode invites players to lead their teams through challenging stages filled with chimeras, Axie’s iconic enemies.

Players start at Level 1 and must navigate through a series of increasingly difficult stages. Success in each stage is rewarded with buffs, but the challenges increase as axies' health does not reset between stages, making strategic decision-making crucial.

New Roguelike Mode

Roguelike Mode also offers significant rewards, including AXP, Honor Medals, and the all-new Roguelike Tickets. Meta Morph: Transform Your Collectible Axies

In an effort to enhance the utility of collectible axies, the Meta Morph feature is now live. This feature allows players to morph the cards of their collectible axies into those of other axies they own, significantly boosting the viability of collectible axies in competitive play.

To morph a card, players need specific materials, SLP (Smooth Love Potion) and potentially extra SLP for a higher success rate. The success of the morph depends on the rarity of the collectible axie and the number of cards being morphed.

Meta Morph Explained

Meta Morph adds a new dimension to axie customization and gameplay, making previously underutilized collectible axies more competitive in the arena. Players can also revert morphed cards at any time, though the materials and SLP used in the morphing process are not recoverable.

Here are some more important details to note:

• You can revert morphed cards anytime in the Meta Morph menu for free. However, reverting a card won't bring back items used during the morphing.
• Moving an axie between accounts will reset the morphed cards.
• The axie's potential points also change with the class of the morphed cards.
• A morphed card's level matches the original card's level. If an axie part upgrades to level 2, its morphed version in Origins also becomes level 2.
• During battles, the axie's parts will change to the card it has morphed into.
• In battle, morphed axies show a visible aura to indicate that they have altered their cards through Meta Morph.

Collectible Leaderboard: Compete for AXS Prizes

The Offseason Collectible Leaderboard returns with an upsized 6,000 AXS prize pool. This leaderboard focuses on battles involving collectible axies, now more powerful with the Meta Morph feature.

Players can earn rank-based points in Ranked Mode and climb the leaderboard for a chance to win significant rewards. Collectible axies like Mystic, Origin, MEO, Japanese, Xmas, and Shiny axies all contribute to a player's multiplier, which can dramatically increase their leaderboard score.

Exciting Events: Roguelike Challenges and Rewards

Several events are hosted during the preseason to celebrate the new features. The Roguelike Race invites streamers to showcase their speed-running skills, with the top five fastest players earning collectible axies as rewards.

The Roguelike Gem Bonanza offers a 700,000 Origins Gems prize pool for the first 1,000 players who complete all three levels of Roguelike Mode. Additionally, players who complete Level 2 of Roguelike Mode and submit a survey will receive 500 Origins Gems, contributing to further improvements to the mode.
