Sky Mavis, the development studio behind Axie Infinity, haven't slowed down since the release of Axie Origin and the commencement of Phase 3 of the game’s Season 0. It even received a couple of updates later on that addressed the community's feedback and added extra security layers, such 2 Factor Authentication as well as CAPTCHA verification during battle. The ongoing AxieCon was a perfect opportunity to drop a new trailer for what is now labelled as Axie Infinity: Origins and an accompanying release date.

Axie Infinity Origins will officially go into its inaugural Season 1 on September 14th, 2022. Not only that, players will get the chance to enjoy a massive 112K $AXS leaderboard prize pool for those who enjoy the game's Ranked multiplayer mode. The trailer features a number of different Axie classes fighting over a fruit before they all come to terms and share it between them.

There is no denying the major change and shift in gameplay pace Origins brought to the Axie world. Add on top of that NFT Runes and Charms that live on the Ronin blockchain, and you got a new layer of strategy and complexity added to the game that makes it feel fresh every time you boot it up.
