Axie Infinity Classic Competitive Season 4 is officially live, bringing a host of exciting new features, enhanced graphics, and substantial rewards for players and guilds. The season will run until August 11th, providing ample opportunity for players to climb the ranks, compete in tournaments, and enjoy the latest additions to the game.

First, What is Axie Infinity?

Axie Infinity is the iconic and much loved non-fungible token (NFT) based online video game developed by Vietnamese studio Sky Mavis built on the Ronin Network. Known for its in-game economy which uses Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies. Players of Axie Infinity collect and mint NFTs which represent axolotl-inspired digital pets known as Axies. The web3 game is free to download and play on Android, PC, and MacOS devices.

Guild Leaderboard and Points Reset

With the start of Season 4, all Guild Leaderboards and Guild Points have been reset. Guild members are encouraged to join forces and compete for a share of the 10,000 AXS prize pool allocated for the Guild Leaderboard. Additionally, guilds can earn from a 3,000 AXS pool through achieving Guild Milestones. The competition will be fierce as guilds vie for top positions and valuable rewards.

Daily Mini Tournaments

One of the most exciting new features of Season 4 is the introduction of daily Mini Tournaments. These fast-paced events offer a total daily prize pool of 700 AXS, split between east and west timeslots. Each player can participate in only one Mini Tournament per day, and every win not only brings individual rewards but also contributes Guild Points to their guild. Mini Tournaments will continue until August 19th.

Every day, there are two shifts of Mini Tournaments, one for each region:

• East Timeslot: Features a 350 AXS prize pool.
• West Timeslot: Also offers a 350 AXS prize pool.

Season Championship and Grand Tournament

Individual players have much to look forward to with the Season Championship and the Grand Tournament. The Season Championship boasts a 2,000 AXS prize pool, and the top 16 players from the Arena Leaderboard will qualify for this prestigious event. Note that Grand Tournament placements will no longer qualify players for the Season Championship.

The 7th Grand Tournament features a knockout format with five rounds. Players must register in-game between July 22nd and July 30th to participate. Successful players can earn gold and Guild Points, progressing through increasingly competitive rounds. Here is a detailed breakdown of what to expect:

• Winners: Top 50 players from each group receive 150 Gold each and qualify for Round 3

Introducing Artifacts to Season 4

Season 4 also sees the debut of Artifacts, a new game mechanic that allows players to change an Axie’s class during battles. Artifacts add a strategic layer to gameplay, as players can activate them at critical moments to gain an edge. Artifacts can be obtained through the Battle Pass, chest drops, and the daily Golden Wheel spin. They come in different levels, each providing longer class changes and more strategic opportunities.

Artifact Selection and Activation:

• Select one Artifact from your collection before entering a battle.
• Artifacts can be activated during the card-casting phase.
• When an Artifact is activated, the opponent can see which Axie it is used on and has a 10-second window to counter with their own Artifact if desired.
• If both players target the same Axie, the last activated Artifact takes effect.

Battle Pass, Graphics, and In-Game Store

The long-awaited Battle Pass has arrived, providing players with a new way to earn rewards through gameplay. All players receive a Normal Pass, while Mystic Axie holders get a Premium Battle Pass redeem code for each Mystic Axie they own. The Battle Pass offers a range of rewards and encourages players to climb the revamped Arena Rank.

Players can now enjoy improved graphics and animations, enhancing the overall visual experience of Axie Classic. Additionally, the new Goda Morning and Gem Store, integrated with Mavis ID, allows players to purchase Axies and items without leaving the game.

Battle Pass
