The Origins and Vision Behind Auto Legends

Auto Legends is being developed by Autoverse Studios, led by executive chairman Justin Choice, the founder of Cie Games, which previously created successful racing games such as Car Town and Racing Rivals. The team includes former members of Cie Games, Glu Mobile, Riot Games, Xbox, EA, Ubisoft, and Scopely, bringing together decades of experience in racing game development.

Previous titles developed by members of the Auto Legends team, including Nitto 1320 Legends, Car Town, and Racing Rivals, collectively reached 140 million players and were recognized as top-performing automotive games. Auto Legends aims to continue this legacy by offering a social, competitive, and authentic vehicle ownership experience.

Gameplay and Competitive Racing Elements

Auto Legends is set in Southern California, with an initial play environment designed to replicate real-world street racing culture. Players can acquire and tune cars with aftermarket parts, compete in various race formats, and participate in social meet-ups. Competitive elements include leaderboard rankings, earning in-game currency, and racing for high-stakes rewards such as rare car parts or even other players’ vehicles in “pink slip” races.

As players progress, they unlock new garages, performance shops, and upgraded vehicle options, enhancing their ability to compete at higher levels. The game’s approach to vehicle ownership includes digital scarcity, with in-game cars reflecting real-world production ratios. This creates an element of exclusivity and rarity.

Upcoming NFT Mint and Future Developments

Alongside its funding announcement, Auto Legends is preparing for its NFT mint, offering early supporters the opportunity to own exclusive in-game cars. These digital collectibles will be integrated into the game’s ecosystem, allowing players to use them in races, competitions, and customization. The introduction of NFTs represents a step toward further integrating blockchain technology into the game while maintaining accessibility for traditional gamers.

With the support of Coinbase Ventures and other investors, Auto Legends is continuing to develop its ecosystem, refine gameplay mechanics, and expand its player base. As web3 gaming evolves, the project aims to offer a competitive and engaging experience that brings together car culture, blockchain technology, and social gameplay elements.
