Supervillain Labs, a web3 game studio, has secured funding from Aptos Labs and Neowiz’s Intella X. Both Aptos Labs and Neowiz’s Intella X have completed equity investments in the studio, indicating a shared vision for the future of blockchain-based gaming.

This investment round, co-led by Intella X and Aptos Labs and supported by other investors including Spartan Capital, Crit Ventures, Presto, and Planetarium Labs, reflects confidence in Supervillain Labs' potential for growth and its commitment to developing high-quality blockchain-based games.

Christie Lee, head of Korean partnerships at Aptos Labs, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing partnership, stating: 

“Supervillain Labs is actively combining web2 familiarity with web3 innovation, showcasing the capabilities of Aptos technology. This collaboration aims to blur the boundaries of gaming experience, linking gaming and blockchain seamlessly.”

First IP Supervillain Idle RPG

The funding will support Supervillain Labs in launching global web3 gaming initiatives. The studio, known for its understanding of both gaming and web3 markets, as well as its technical expertise in blockchain game development, plans to release its web3 game, Supervillain: Idle RPG in the first half of this year.

Discussions are underway for further collaborations between Intella X and Supervillain Labs. These collaborations may include joint gaming projects featuring the ERCC: Early Retired Cats Club non-fungible token (NFT) collection, as well as deeper integration within the Intella X ecosystem and games developed by Supervillain Labs.
