Anomaly, a layer 3 blockchain and AI gaming app, has recently achieved a notable milestone by surpassing 200,000 plays in just over a week on its testnet campaigns. Building on this success, Anomaly has publicly launched its Telegram bot, featuring a series of mini-games powered by ChatGPT.
Anomaly the AI Gaming Blockchain
Anomaly is a Layer-3 AI gaming platform that integrates with Telegram and aims to enhance the gaming experience with its advanced AI functionalities. These include player-model training, matchmaking, automated quest creation, and in-game asset generation.
Users can utilize its AI-powered SDK to quickly create and deploy mini-games across social media platforms like Telegram and Discord. The platform has partnered with several prominent IPs, including Atari and Zed Run. The startup aims to address the challenges faced by developers and players in the traditional web3 gaming space.
AI-Powered Gaming App Chain
Following the growing trend of Telegram-based decentralized applications (dApps), Anomaly's latest Telegram bot offers users a selection of three casual game titles: Dicestone, Pinball, and the upcoming Wildstone game. Each of these mini-games allows players to compete against ChatGPT, with three daily plays available.
This initiative aligns with Anomaly's mission to combine fun and social engagement uniquely. The bot can be easily accessed by searching for its username, @anomaly_launch_bot, and is free for all Telegram users. It is compatible with both mobile devices and desktop platforms, making it widely accessible. CEO and Founder Long Do commented:
“We believe the gaming industry is on the cusp of a transformative shift with the advent of mini-game apps on social platforms like Telegram and now Discord. This evolution represents an untapped user acquisition and engagement frontier, particularly within the web3 space.”
Dicestone, Pinball, and Wildstone Games
Anomaly officially opened its Telegram bot to the public on July 16, 2024. The platform also includes a referral system, offering users up to 16x multipliers in referral points. Long Do emphasized the transformative potential of mini-game apps on social platforms like Telegram and Discord, noting their role in user acquisition and engagement within the web3 space.
“Users can also connect any of their Anomaly NFT collections for double-up rewards and points, amongst other perks,” Long added. The integration of web3 products into third-party services like Telegram is a significant step in expanding the 'SocialFi' element within cryptocurrency ecosystems.
Reach Gamers on Their Turf
Anomaly is not alone in integrating TAP-based games into Telegram. Other notable projects include Hamster Kombat and Notcoin, both of which have gained substantial popularity in the crypto community. Additionally, major companies like Microsoft and Google have also ventured into social messaging apps with initiatives like Co-pilot and Gemini, respectively.
Anomaly recently announced a partnership with Notcoin, highlighting its extensive integrations with multiple blockchain networks, including the emerging layer 3 technology, B3. In addition, the company recently secured a place in the Google for Startups Program. Long Do commented:
“2024 is significant for concepts such as GenAI and social finance into tangible business success. We’ve been grateful to have over 1.6 million ChatGPT API requests with hundreds of thousands of active members. With the widespread popularity and ease of access, we’ve seen a significant uptick in the market for Telegram-based games. We are happy to announce our bot is being made available to the public.”
