In the case of AMGI Studios, Animoca has begun purchasing KARRAT tokens directly from the open market, aiming to increase token liquidity and support long-term tokenomics for the game and associated platforms.

Luke Paglia, chief operating officer at AMGI Studios, described the partnership as a significant advancement for the studio’s broader vision. He pointed to the integration of KARRAT and the upcoming launch of Studio Chain as central components in creating a foundational layer for the next generation of web3 games. Paglia added that Animoca Brands shares this vision and that both companies are committed to supporting creators through technology that enables true digital ownership.

The KARRAT token has seen a notable increase in market activity, with its price rising by 52% over the past two weeks. However, the token still remains down by approximately 94% from its historical peak. Animoca’s open-market acquisition of the token is part of a broader plan to enhance its utility within My Pet Hooligan and to integrate it into AMGI’s wider ecosystem, including Studio Chain.

By reinforcing the token’s liquidity and exploring future use cases, the collaboration aims to build a stable foundation for the in-game economy and create new opportunities for player engagement and digital asset ownership.

Studio Chain, which is currently live on testnet, serves as a core infrastructure layer for AMGI’s on-chain initiatives. The infrastructure is intended to provide low-cost and efficient solutions for developers looking to create immersive, blockchain-powered content.
