Mythic Protocol is a gameplay-focused ARPG (action role-playing game) with elements of a roguelike, utilizing blockchain technology and a collaborative economy to give players the ability to trade, sell, and publish their in-game assets without predetermined rarity. During our introduction of the game in the Overview section, we highlighted the 3 available classes you can choose from before starting your game off. We will dive a bit deeper into these in this section as well as the gameplay and same basic mechanics in this guide that will help you clear your first dungeon and kick off your Mythic Protocol journey.

The available classes as a reminder are; Assault, Recon and Marksman

A short breakdown of these classes are as follows:

Assault

• Weapons: Par Mk. V (automatic rifle) ISP-1919 (dual pistols)

• Q ability: Periapt Blast, Energy beam that continuously deals damage to anything caught in its line

• E ability: Static Grenade, AoE grenade that deals some damage and stuns enemies 5 seconds

Recon

• Weapons: Dragon’s Tail(Shotgun) ISP-1919 (dual pistols)

• Q ability: Psychic Jammer, AoE damaging Aura for 15 seconds

• E ability: Forcefield Emitter, create a shield dome to blocks enemy projectile from passing through

Marksman

• Weapons: SR-427 (Sniper) M79 Pract. Launcher (RPG)

• Q ability: Ampfield, creates an AoE effect for allies that increases all damage by 40%

• E ability: Camouflage, hide from your enemies and your first shot will be a critical

So now that we are familiar with the different weapons and abilities of the available classes, let us jump into the game's movement and how to navigate around. Movement is as you would expect, with the traditional WASD, spacebar for dodging, left mouse for shooting, and right for aiming down sight. Your special abilities are bound to the Q and E keys as stated above. Right lets get moving!

The goal of Mythic Protocol is to reach the final room and take down the boss waiting for you there to take you down. Well, baby steps first, you will have to clear a set amount of rooms before arriving there, going through corridors and floors till you are finally there. After every room you clear, you will be awarded with a crystal, which upon interacting with will give you a choice out of 3 power-ups or boosts, called Lytograms.

Make your choices wisely as your success relies heavily upon these power-ups. In other words, think of it as the items you build in a MOBA like League of Legends or DotA 2. Your choice of Lytograms after clearing every room defines your build. As you start your first Mythic Protocol game off, you will be presented with one of these crystals to get you started with your first power up. What we recommend to take, if available, are the faster weapon reload, damage increase, critical chance increase, or a life steal power up to keep your health always topped up. Trust me, you will need that.
