Monsters.fun: Ultimate Beginner’s Guide

A comprehensive guide covering all you need to know on how to play and earn on Monsters.fun

Imagine if Pokémon battles weren’t just for bragging rights but for real money. That’s Monsters.fun in a nutshell, a degen-friendly AI-powered game built on the fast and low-cost Abstract network. Here, every monster is tied to a tradable token, every fight impacts real value, and every player has a stake in the outcome.

You can treat it like a game, a market, or both. Each monster is more than just a character. It’s a living, evolving asset that you can train, trade, and cheer for as it fights in AI-driven battles. Win, and your monster’s token value goes up. Lose, and you’ll feel it in your portfolio.

How to Get Started

Getting started is easy. Head to the official Monsters.fun site and sign up or log in using your wallet, email, or social account. An Abstract wallet log-in is preferred for easy access to trading options. Monsters

Monsters.fun Mons

Each monster in Monsters.fun is unique with its own stats, moves, and personality. They are also tied to tradable tokens, meaning every monster is part collectible and part investment. At launch, three core monsters take the spotlight:

Blazecock

A fiery and aggressive bird with explosive Fire-type moves. Strong against Grass but vulnerable to Water. Also has an amazing name

Swampzzz

A laidback Water-type monster that plays defensively and delivers witty commentary. Excellent at countering Fire monsters.

SBF

A cunning Grass-type monster that thrives on strategy and psychological mind games. Strong against Water but weak against Fire.

Monsters come with four core stats: Health, Attack, Defense, and Speed. They also have four move types:

  • Type-Specific Moves: Deliver extra damage to weaker elements.
  • Normal Moves: Reliable attacks for any matchup.
  • Status Moves: Disrupt opponents and create openings.
  • Mega Moves: Limited-use, high-power attacks that can change the outcome of a battle.

Every battle affects more than just bragging rights. Win, and your monster’s token value rises. Lose, and it drops. This creates real tension around every matchup.

How to Buy Monster Shards

Monster Shards are the heart of Monsters.fun, giving you ownership of your chosen monster and a direct stake in its performance. Buying them is simple and only takes a few steps:

  • Browse Available Monsters. You can see them on the lower right-hand side of the game screen, or under the Inventory section of your Profile tab. Each monster has its own Shard token with a live price based on a bonding curve. This means early buyers get cheaper entry points, while demand pushes the price up over time.

Monsters.fun Shard Trading

  • Choose and Buy Shards. Pick the monster you want to back, select how many Shards to buy, and confirm the purchase. You’ll instantly become part of that monster’s community and share in its future wins.

Monsters.fun Shard Trading

  • Start Training or Trading. With Shards in hand, you can help your monster level up in the Training Dojo, hold and wait for value growth, or trade your Shards anytime for profit.

Training

When you first jump into Monsters.fun, you’ll land in the Overworld where several activities are available, but training is one of the most important.
The Training Dojo is where communities come together to strengthen their monsters. Here, you’ll face waves of AI-controlled opponents to earn EXP. As your monster racks up experience, it gains better stats, unlocks new moves, and can even evolve into stronger forms.

Monsters.fun Training

Training also shapes your monster’s AI, making it smarter and more capable in upcoming battles. Whether you’re planning to trade, hold tokens, or actively support your favorite fighter, training is essential for long-term growth and a stronger market position.

AI Battles and Leaderboards

When it’s time to fight, there’s no button-mashing or live PvP. All battles are completely AI-driven. The AI chooses moves and strategies based on your training efforts, stats, and behavior patterns.

Monsters.fun Shard Trading Ai Battles

Winning isn’t just about glory. Victorious monsters STEAL (yes, Steal) a portion of the losing monster’s market cap, directly raising their token value and lowering their opponent’s.

Battles are scheduled and public, and market activity responds to the results. The Leaderboard and Points System is designed to reward meaningful participation. Points reset daily but track both weekly and all-time rankings, with the top 50 players each week earning USDC rewards. Points are earned by winning battles, maintaining dojo streaks, trading, engaging with the community, and inviting new players. The more involved you are, the more rewards you’ll unlock. This system keeps competition fierce, incentivizes skill and strategy, and gives active players multiple ways to earn beyond token speculation.

Tips and Tricks

Monsters.fun is a blend of gaming and speculation. Here are some ways to stay ahead:

  1. Join Early: Early players often see the biggest returns, so get in while prices are low.
  2. Consider Monster Capsules: These NFTs provide perks, multipliers, and early access rewards.
  3. Trade Like a Pro: You can focus on speculation by buying and selling Shards for profit without training.
  4. Train to Win: Consistent dojo sessions improve AI performance and increase token value over time.
  5. Diversify Your Portfolio: Owning multiple monsters reduces risk and helps you stay active in the market even if one team loses.
  6. Understand the Risks: This is a live economy. Whales can shift battles and outcomes with large token buys or sells. Always play smart.

Monsters are Fun

Monsters.fun feels like Pokémon if every monster was a meme coin and every battle could pump or dump your bag. These creatures aren’t just for collecting; they’re AI-powered fighters that can actually move markets. Every choice matters, every fight has real stakes, and your Shards are as liquid as your tears if your favorite mon gets wrecked.

You can chill and hold, grind the dojo to make your monster a legend, or go full degen and flip tokens like rare cards. This is an arena where strategy meets chaos, and the drama never stops. If you’re ready to back your favorite meme monster and watch it STEAL market cap, now’s the time to dive in.
