Ati is the final boss of MIO: Memories in Orbit, and she is the most demanding fight in the game. By the time players reach her, the game expects full control of movement, Hairpin usage, and pattern recognition. Ati mirrors many of your abilities, teleports frequently, and fills the arena with fast projectile attacks. Winning the fight comes down to discipline, positioning, and knowing when to deal damage.
Where to Find Ati
Ati becomes available only after all main story objectives are completed. Players must collect all four Voices across the Vessel, with the final Voice obtained by defeating Dr. Hayln in the Hand region. After securing the last Voice, return to Shii.
Shii will transport you to the Spine’s husk, which has been visible since the beginning of the game but remains locked until this point. Ati is waiting inside. Make sure to finish all dialogue before the fight begins, as this is the last opportunity to adjust your build.
Tip
Save your game before speaking to Ati. You can reload right before this encounter if you need to farm resources or adjust your build.

MIO: Memories in Orbit Boss Guide: How to Beat Ati
Recommended Build Before the Fight
Ati heavily punishes unfocused or experimental builds. The fight favors consistency, mobility, and passive damage rather than high-risk burst setups.
Offensive Modifiers
Glitch Trail - Leaves damage zones when using Hairpin. Effective against Ati’s stationary attack animations.
Afterimage - Creates a decoy that draws aggro and deals explosive damage. Useful for spacing and recovery.
Kinetic Thrust - Improves movement speed, making dodging and repositioning more reliable.
Defensive Modifiers
Enhanced Dodge - Extends invincibility frames. Essential against orb barrages.
Protective Overlay - Provides a damage buffer to prevent instant deaths.
Self-Awareness - Helps track Ati during teleport-heavy sequences.
You'll want at least three Modifier extensions installed to maximize your build potential. Pair these with three hit points worth of coating components for survivability.
Important
If you're struggling even with this setup, don't hesitate to enable assist options. There's no shame in adjusting difficulty to match your skill level.
Phase One Strategy
Ati opens the fight with a smaller move set designed to test reaction time. She relies on fast movement, teleporting, and basic projectile pressure.
Most of her attacks have short pauses before they activate. These moments are where damage should be dealt. Dodge first, Hairpin in, land a few hits, then retreat immediately. Staying aggressive without getting greedy is the goal.

Her Tendril Grab is the most dangerous move in this phase. When Ati moves to the center of the arena, create distance right away. While it can be dodged, spacing is the safer option. The Ground Blast is her biggest opening, leaving her stationary long enough for solid damage.
Phase one is about learning timing rather than rushing the fight. Staying alive matters more than pushing damage early.
Phase Two Strategy
At half health, the arena becomes electrified and Hairpin nodes appear. Ati adds more complex orb patterns, and the fight becomes less reactive and more about memorization.
The Modified Five Orb Barrage is the most important attack to learn. The center orb fires first, forcing wall runs and quick repositioning. This attack ends more attempts than any other move if not understood.
During her wall-bouncing attack, hugging a wall is safer than moving through the center. Jump only when she approaches instead of burning stamina. For triple orb patterns, either jump through gaps or stay grounded and dodge consistently. Pick one method and stick to it.
Damage should mostly come from Glitch Trail and Afterimage during this phase. Focus on survival, let passive damage work, and only attack during clear openings.
Final Moment
When Ati's health reaches zero, she'll teleport to the arena's center and begin charging a massive attack that resembles a spirit bomb. The attack fizzles out, stunning both of you temporarily.
After you recover, approach Ati and deliver the finishing blow. There's no mercy option or alternate outcome at this point. You must complete the fight to progress.
Once defeated, you'll trigger one of MIO: Memories in Orbit's endings. The game saves right before the final blow, so you can reload to explore other content or hunt for collectibles without replaying the entire encounter.
