Ultimate Mewgenics Class Tier List Ranked.jpg

Mewgenicsis not a game that rewards cute cats or lucky vibes. It rewards consistency, survivability, and smart builds. RNG is always part of the experience, but some classes and roles perform better even when things do not go your way.

This tier list ranks classes based on near-optimal builds and how reliably they perform across full runs, especially in mid to late game content.

How This Tier List Works

Mewgenics features 14 classes in total, though only a few are available at the start, with additional classes unlocking as players progress through the campaign. This tier list is based on realistic play conditions, assuming solid but average builds rather than perfect skill drafts or ideal item drops every run.

Classes are ranked by overall consistency, their value within a party, performance in late-game encounters, and how well they continue to function when RNG does not go in the player’s favor.

S-Tier Classes (Best Overall)

These classes define the current meta. They offer strong value even when skill drafts are not perfect.

Cleric

The Cleric is the strongest support class in the game. It provides reliable healing, revives downed cats, and removes injuries that would otherwise ruin long runs. Late-game encounters are brutal, and having a Cleric often decides whether a run survives or ends early.

With the right items, healing output becomes even stronger. The Cleric can also lean into offense with skills that scale damage based on enemy health, giving it more flexibility than most support roles.

Tank

The Tank is built to absorb punishment. It can redirect damage, protect allies, and survive hits that would instantly kill other classes. While its damage is lower, its ability to control enemy aggression makes it valuable in difficult fights.

Some skill drafts lean into rock-based abilities that are situational, but overall survivability keeps the Tank consistently useful.

A-Tier Classes (Strong and Reliable)

These classes perform very well but usually depend on good positioning or team support.

Hunter

The Hunter delivers some of the highest damage in the game from a safe distance. Its biggest weakness is accuracy, but common items completely remove this problem. Once attacks are guaranteed to hit, the Hunter becomes a reliable boss killer and elite clearer.

As long as it stays protected and avoids direct hits, the Hunter remains one of the safest damage dealers in Mewgenics.

Fighter

The Fighter excels at action economy. Many of its skills allow extra movement, bonus attacks, or refreshed turns. This makes it extremely flexible in turn-based combat.

With strong mobility and wide-area attacks, the Fighter can control space, clear groups, and even remove enemies from combat temporarily. It fits easily into most team compositions.

Mage

The Mage offers powerful spells and strong area damage. Mana regeneration scales well with its stats, allowing frequent spellcasting.

Its main drawback is line-of-sight. Many spells require careful positioning, and very few items remove this restriction. When positioning works, the Mage clears rooms efficiently. When it does not, turns can be wasted.

B-Tier Classes (Situational Picks)

These classes can work well but need the right skills or setups to shine.

Monk

The Monk is flexible and mobile, with access to both melee and ranged basics. It also has access to powerful utility and instant-kill style abilities.

However, penalties to core damage stats make early turns feel weak unless the right skills appear. Without good drafts, the Monk can feel awkward to play.

Psychic

The Psychic specializes in battlefield control rather than damage. Gravity effects, pulls, and slows can completely disrupt enemy formations, especially against bosses.

Its basic damage is very low, and it relies heavily on teammates to capitalize on its control effects.

Thief

The Thief has excellent speed and strong burst potential. However, many attacks require precise positioning or attacking from specific angles.

Low survivability makes mistakes costly, and without mobility tools, the Thief often struggles to stay safe.

C-Tier Classes (High RNG Dependence)

These classes can work, but consistency is a major issue.

Butcher

The Butcher combines strong damage with high health. Its hook-based mechanics allow it to pull enemies into bad positions, then follow up with wide attacks that generate food for healing.

Low speed limits mobility, but smart positioning and food-based sustain make the Butcher a solid frontline option that can survive long fights.

Druid

The Druid has access to summons, transformations, and healing. The problem is unpredictability. Starting skills vary widely, and transformations can force risky positioning.

Low Constitution also makes mistakes harder to recover from.

Necromancer

The Necromancer can create powerful minions and link enemy health pools, but its kit is awkward. Some abilities only shine when the Necromancer is downed, which creates risky play patterns.

Without key abilities, it often relies too heavily on teammates.

Tinkerer

The Tinkerer’s strength comes from item passives and armor bonuses. Unfortunately, weapon crafting is highly random.

Without access to Tech resources and specific passives, the class struggles to maintain reliable damage.

D-Tier Class (Lowest Priority)

Collarless

Collarless cats have access to many generic skills, but most are weak or unfocused. Without strong innate traits, they contribute very little to combat.

This option is best reserved for cats born with exceptional abilities or for carrying risky quest items.

Best Classes for Beginners

New players should prioritize survivability over damage.

  • Tank: Forgiving and easy to position

  • Mage: Simple spellcasting with strong area damage

  • Cleric: Keeps mistakes from ending runs early

Mewgenics rewards planning, synergy, and patience more than flashy builds. While every class can work under perfect conditions, the top-tier options perform well even when RNG is unkind.

Focus on building balanced teams, protect your damage dealers, and never underestimate how valuable consistent healing and defense can be.
