The Marvel Rivals 6.5 patch delivers a mix of meaningful balance changes and one major new hero addition that could shake up the meta. Headlining the update is Elsa Bloodstone, a new Duelist built for aggressive frontline pressure, alongside buffs and nerfs that adjust survivability, ultimate uptime, and team utility across multiple roles.


New Hero: Elsa Bloodstone

The biggest addition in the Marvel Rivals 6.5 patch is Elsa Bloodstone, a new Duelist hero arriving on February 13. She is built to pressure the front line and punish grouped enemies, leaning heavily into aggressive, momentum-based play.

Elsa uses multiple weapons, including her signature elephant gun, to apply constant damage while building her Instinct meter. As Instinct increases, her cooldowns become shorter, letting skilled players stay active in fights. She also brings crowd control through a trap that can stun enemies, giving her tools to interrupt pushes or secure picks.

Her ultimate ability summons Glartox, a rampaging monster that charges through enemy teams. This makes Elsa especially dangerous in objective fights, where forcing movement can quickly break defensive setups.

Vanguard Hero Changes

Doctor Strange

  • Shield of the Seraphim recovery speed reduced

  • Shield regeneration lowered from 70 per second to 60 per second

Rogue

  • Defensive Stance converts absorbed damage into energy more efficiently

  • Energy conversion increased from 0.27 to 0.35

  • Fatal Attraction cooldown reduced from 17 seconds to 14 seconds

Thor

  • Hammer Throw now grants 50 bonus health on hit

  • Bonus health triggers once per throw, even if multiple enemies are hit

  • Storm Surge bonus health reduced from 75 to 50

Venom

  • Base health increased from 650 to 675

  • Ultimate ability now converts damage into bonus health more effectively

  • Damage-to-health conversion increased from 1 to 1.3

Duelist Hero Changes

Deadpool

  • Healing from Pop Quiz! ultimate increased

  • Base heal increased from 30 to 35

  • Bonus heal on success increased from 60 to 70

Moon Knight

  • Bonus max health from Moon Blade reduced from 100 to 75

Phoenix

  • Base health reduced from 275 to 250

Psylocke

  • Psionic Crossbow damage falloff increased at long range

  • Maximum falloff at 30 meters adjusted from 60 percent to 70 percent

  • Dance of the Butterfly ultimate damage reduced from 170 to 160

Squirrel Girl

  • Uncharged Squirrel Blockade projectile speed increased

  • Projectile speed raised from 20 meters per second to 30 meters per second

Star-Lord

  • Galactic Legend ultimate energy cost reduced

  • Cost lowered from 3400 to 3100

Storm

  • Wind Blade and Bolt Rush now grant bonus health under Tornado aura

  • Bonus health converts at 25 percent damage ratio, capped at 75

  • Under Thunder aura, Wind Blade hits reduce Bolt Rush cooldown by 0.5 seconds

  • Bolt Rush area radius increased from 1 meter to 1.5 meters

  • Ally buffs now decay over 2 seconds instead of disappearing instantly

  • Ally damage boost under Thunder aura reduced from 12 percent to 8 percent

  • Reduced animation end lag when using Weather Control

The Punisher

  • Final Judgement ultimate energy cost reduced

  • Cost lowered from 3700 to 3400

Wolverine

  • Last Stand ultimate energy cost significantly reduced

  • Cost lowered from 3400 to 2800

Strategist Hero Changes

Adam Warlock

  • New flight mode added

  • Can fly at 10 meters per second for up to 4 seconds

  • Energy fully recharges in 15 seconds

  • Can now hover and attack during Soul Bond

Invisible Woman

  • Force Physics cooldown increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds

Loki

  • Mystical Missile charges reduced from 12 to 10

Ultron

  • Patch drone detach range increased

  • Range extended from 30 meters to 35 meters

Team-Up Ability Updates

Fantastic Four Team-Up

  • Team-Up ability for Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing has been removed

Psionic Mayhem (Invisible Woman and Doctor Strange)

  • Invisible Woman is now the anchor for this Team-Up

  • Doctor Strange’s Maelstrom of Madness can now pull enemies toward him

  • Damage dealt during the pull grants health to Doctor Strange and nearby allies

Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box (Deadpool and Jeff the Land Shark)

  • Elsa Bloodstone added to this Team-Up

  • Elsa gains Living Bullet rounds

  • Living Bullets deal damage to enemies while also healing Elsa

Gamma Charge (Hulk and Black Panther)

  • The Thing added to this Team-Up

  • Boosts the range of The Thing’s attacks

  • Grants bonus health while the Team-Up is active

Rocket Network (Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord)

  • Mr. Fantastic added to this Team-Up

  • Fantastic Amplifier allows Mr. Fantastic to exceed his Elasticity cap of 100

  • Amplifier can be manually triggered for burst effectiveness


Marvel Rivals 6.5 focuses heavily on refining hero balance while introducing Elsa Bloodstone as a high-impact Duelist. The update rewards aggressive play, better positioning, and smarter ultimate usage across all roles.
