Legend of YMIR has been out in its global version for more than a month now. Just like its WEMIX/WEMADE MMORPG brothers MIR4 and Night Crows, it has seen massive success with a continuously growing playerbase and a blockchain-powered economy backed by the Wemade and WEMIX ecosystem.

If you’re looking for ways to earn in this game, or if you’re already playing and wondering how to cash out in-game assets for real money, this guide is for you.

Understanding Game Tokens and Tradeable Items

Legend of Ymir has a full-blown tokenomics system, tradeable assets, and an open market economy. Like most MMORPGs, it uses a huge variety of currencies. Since many of them are purely in-game only, this guide focuses only on the currencies and assets that can actually be converted into real money. The two main ones are Diamonds and the WEMIX token itself.

Earning Through Diamond Trading

Diamond is basically the game’s premium in-game currency. Once you unlock the Trade Station, you’ll be able to buy and sell tradeable items using Diamonds.

Take note that not every item, gear piece, or material is tradeable. Most items exist in two versions: bound and unbound.

You can tell an item is tradeable if:

  • It does not say “Bound” in the name or description

  • The item icon has a scale icon on it

Bound items cannot be traded, while unbound items can be sold on the Trade Station (Rare items are sold on the Region Trade)

Random Monster Loot Drops

A lot of tradeable items come from random monster drops. You’ll have better chances of valuable loot from:

  • Field Unique Monsters

  • Expeditions

  • Valhalla

  • Hall of Gold

  • World Bosses

  • Labyrinth

Crafting Great Success

Crafting can also produce tradeable items through a feature called Great Success. When this happens, your crafted item (gear, skill books, upgrade materials, etc.) becomes its tradeable version instead. You can see if an item has a chance to Great Success if the Great Success icon appears above the item during crafting

Take note that the success rate is quite low, especially for rarer items, so this heavily relies on luck.

Amber Mining and Selling

Another major source of Diamonds is selling Amber in bulk. Amber is a crucial crafting currency used in almost every crafting process. The higher the rarity of the item you’re crafting, the more Amber you’ll need, which is why competitive players constantly stock up on it.

Amber can be mined in several field areas. Once you collect 50,000 Amber, you can buy an item called Amber Packed Chest to convert your Amber into a tradeable chest that can be sold for Diamonds.

Some F2P players focus entirely on this method since it doesn’t require high growth power or PvP competition. Do take note that some Amber, such as that obtained from events, is unpackable, meaning they cannot be converted into tradeable Amber Chests.

Converting Diamonds to Real Money

The short answer is… you’re not supposed to. Like most live-service games, premium currency is not meant to be directly traded for real money. That said, MMORPG veterans already know the common workaround: ghost trading.

This usually works by:

  • The buyer listing a common item for an agreed Diamond price

  • The seller receiving fiat outside the game

  • The seller buying that listed item using Diamonds

Take note that this method can technically get you banned and relies heavily on third-party communication, so proceed with caution. If you’re looking for a more “official” and safer way to earn real money, that’s where Region Trade comes in.

Region Trade

As you progress through the game and unlock harder content and bosses, you’ll start obtaining rarer loot like weapons, armor, and high-end items. Since these items are far more valuable than what’s usually traded with Diamonds, the game introduces Region Trade.

Legend of YMIR Region Trade

The Region Trade basically mirrors how the trading system on the Trade Station works, but instead of using Diamonds, you use the ecosystem’s cryptocurrency token, $WEMIX, to buy and sell items. Since the Region Trade carries more prestige, only rarer tradeable items are usually listed here. Items that can be bought with Diamonds on the Trade Station do not appear on the Region Trade.

Take note: before you start trading on the Region Trade, make sure your WEMIX Play Wallet is connected to the game. This is where all WEMIX you earn from trading will be deposited and withdrawn.

How to Get Region Trade Items

Just like lower-rarity loot on the trade station, these items come from:

  • High-level monster drops

  • Field Unique Monsters

  • Expeditions

  • Valhalla

  • Hall of Gold

  • World Bosses

  • Labyrinth

Crafting higher-rarity gear can also result in Great Success, turning the item into a version that is tradeable on the Region Trade.

gWEMIX Mining and Refining

Another way to earn WEMIX through Region Trade is by selling gWEMIX. To obtain gWEMIX, you need to collect gWEMIX Pieces and use the refine feature. A minimum of 100,000 gWEMIX Pieces is required to refine into 1 gWEMIX.

Legend of YMIR gWEMIX

gWEMIX Pieces, similar to Amber, are crucial consumable materials used for high-level gear upgrades and other advanced systems. Since they can be easily converted into real money, the game heavily gates the ways to obtain them,

You can obtain gWEMIX Pieces through several gated activities in the game, such as limited-time entries in the Hall of Gold, inter-server PvP fields, boss hunts, and Expeditions. Each of these sources has limited availability and restricted drop quantities

How to Cash Out from Region Trade

Similar to the Trade Station, you can simply list your tradeable items on the Region Trade for the WEMIX price of your liking. Once a buyer goes through with the trade, the WEMIX will go straight to your linked WEMIX Play Wallet. From there, you can withdraw your WEMIX funds to supported CEXs like Bybit, Gate, and MEXC, just to name a few, and then use their P2P features to convert your funds into real money.

And that basically wraps up this guide on all the ways you can earn in Legend of Ymir. This applies to both F2P and spender players, since we covered different ways people can earn through trading. Do take note that there are still a lot of Ymir tokenomics and earning methods not discussed here yet, such as more complex systems like staking, VIP levels, Ymir Cash, or even selling your entire account. We’ll save those for another time. For now, enjoy the grind and maybe turn that lucky boss drop into cold hard cash. If you want free stuff, you can get Free Pulls in Legends of Ymir using these available codes.
