Tridentarius is the main boss of Shiverbeaks in Demon Tides, and beating her is required if players want to move closer to unlocking Thuintir. The fight leans heavily on movement, Boost timing, and pattern awareness rather than traditional combat. This guide explains exactly how to clear all three phases and what to do next to unlock the next ocean.
How to Beat Tridentarius
The Tridentarius boss fight has three phases. Each one builds on the same core idea. Players are not meant to trade hits. The goal is to break her mech’s weak points and capitalize on openings.
Phase 1: Ground Mech Chase
In the first phase, Tridentarius charges forward inside a mech suit while attacking. The arena scrolls forward, forcing constant movement. Trying to stop and fight will usually result in getting hit.
The key mechanic here is the glass tubes that extend from the arena walls. These are the weak points. While running forward, watch both sides of the path. When a tube slides out and there is a clear opening, use a Boost attack to destroy it.

Two tubes must be destroyed. After both are broken, the mech malfunctions. Tridentarius ejects and runs briefly before stumbling. Close the distance and land a Boost attack to end the phase.
The most important rule is to keep moving forward and avoid panic jumping.
Phase 2: Flying Mech and Fire Patterns
In the second phase, the mech lifts into the air and begins sweeping fire across the arena. The weak point mechanic remains the same. Glass tubes extend from the walls and must be destroyed with Boost attacks.
This phase adds more pressure because the fire patterns restrict movement. Instead of rushing the tubes, wait for a safe gap in the flames. Move laterally to avoid damage, then Boost the tubes when the opening appears.

After both tubes are destroyed again, the mech crashes. Chase Tridentarius, wait for the stumble animation, and land another Boost attack to transition to the final phase.
This phase is about timing. Overcommitting during fire sweeps often leads to unnecessary damage.
Phase 3: Platform Chase and Rockets
The final phase shifts into a platforming sequence. Tridentarius retreats to a distant platform and fires rockets while players must cross floating platforms to reach her.
Focus on clean platform movement first. Rockets can be avoided by watching their shadows on the ground before they land. Only adjust your path if a rocket is directly threatening your landing spot.

Avoid hesitating mid-air. Commit to each jump and maintain forward momentum. Once players reach her position, the finishing sequence triggers automatically.
After the fight ends, players are rewarded with an extra talisman slot. This upgrade makes future challenges easier and speeds up Golden Gear collection.
How to Unlock Thuintir
Defeating Tridentarius does not immediately unlock Thuintir. The next ocean requires a total of 20 Golden Gears.
After completing Shiverbeaks and defeating Tridentarius, players should sweep both Lokitana and Shiverbeaks for remaining challenge levels and collectibles. Main challenge stages are the most reliable source of Golden Gears, so those should be prioritized before minor side paths.
Once the total reaches 20 Golden Gears, return to Runa’s Village. Interact with the launch container in front of Runa and select Thuintir as the next destination.
Shiverbeaks acts as a skill check in Demon Tides. Beating Tridentarius proves that players can manage movement pressure, Boost timing, and boss mechanics under stress. Once 20 Golden Gears are secured, Thuintir opens and the next stretch of the adventure begins.
