Cards of Ethernity is a trading card game in which the objective is to reduce the opponent's HP to zero. Players achieve this by employing a deck of 30 cards, which should be balanced with attacking, defending, buffing, and drawing cards. Drawing cards is of particular importance as it ensures a steady supply of playable cards throughout the match. There are several types of decks that serve as the foundation for all others.

Aggro decks, for instance, are low-cost and swift, aiming to eliminate the opponent quickly by drawing as many high-damage cards as possible in the shortest time possible. These decks consist of cheap creatures with high attack stats and additional abilities, buffing spells, relics, and drawing cards. Aggro decks are potent early on and seek to avoid lengthy matches..

Control decks, on the other hand, aim to counter the opponent's moves and gradually gain an advantage on the board before launching their final push. Such decks mostly include clearing spells, disabling cards, blocking cards (such as Roaming Mountain), and high-damage cards for the final push. Control decks are suitable for countering aggro decks at later stages of the game..

Midrange decks, in Cards of Ethernity and other card games in general, are a combination of aggro, control, and combo decks. They are versatile and well-rounded and include cheap cards for the beginning, clearing spells, blocking cards, and big creatures for the later stages of the game.

Combo decks, however, are designed to deal lethal blows to opponents in a short period. These decks focus on acquiring the necessary cards, ignoring the opponent's gameplay, until they can launch their final assault. They include specific cards and require experienced players to construct.

One illustration of a combo deck in Cards of Ethernity would be a deck focused on utilizing Anarch, a Legendary card that requires 8 mana and provides a +2/2 boost for each spell card played. While constructing and playing combo decks can be an enjoyable experience, it also demands a high level of skill to master. With practice and expertise, players can refine their deck and enhance their gameplay satisfaction.

Trading card games (TCGs) utilize various deck types, including combo decks. Although numerous variations exist, the fundamental deck types remain the same. It is imperative to determine one's own play style and build a deck around it to achieve success.
